About the position

As a Senior Principal Program Manager at Atlassian, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing business and site operations across North America. Reporting to the Internal Innovation Lead of CTO Strategic Initiatives, your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful planning, execution, and delivery of strategic site programs. These programs are essential for establishing a world-class engineering organization and creating an exceptional workplace experience for Atlassian's North America employees. This hybrid role allows for flexibility in work location, but it requires you to be situated near Seattle or San Francisco to support some in-person programs. In this position, you will collaborate with a diverse set of partners across various teams to address business challenges. Your efforts will focus on building vibrant and productive regional environments where teams can work harmoniously, aligned with Atlassian's core values. You will also be tasked with retaining and developing talent to elevate the standards of the Atlassian engineering organization. A significant aspect of your role will involve fostering a culture of community engagement at the sites, partnering with Foundation advocates to give back. Additionally, you will work on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs across teams, ensuring that Atlassian remains ahead of the market in these initiatives. As a trusted strategic partner, you will establish a decision-making framework to address issues affecting the Americas sites, set goals and metrics to measure the effectiveness of site leadership efforts, and provide regular updates and reports on progress against goals, project status, and market insights.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee business and site operations across North America for Atlassian.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work in business operations, site management, program management, HR, or event planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience.
  • Experience leading high-impact programs or projects with a strong sense of urgency and commitment.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and a history of delivering results in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and get things done through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions.
