About the position

The Principal Program Manager at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is responsible for leading technical programs focused on automation and efficiency improvements for operational staff and customers. This role requires collaboration across multi-functional teams to design and implement solutions that address business challenges in a fast-paced environment. The position emphasizes influence over authority, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and designing technical solutions to solve business problems.
  • Create and define project scopes and direct schedules focusing on automation and efficiency.
  • Organize and lead project status and working meetings, preparing and distributing progress reports.
  • Manage risks and issues, correcting deviations from plans and performing delivery planning for assigned programs.
  • Monitor the program from initiation through delivery, identifying potential gaps and creating mitigation plans.
  • Define subsequent programs for delivery or backlog prioritization and organize interdepartmental activities to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
  • Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
  • Collaborate closely with partners in program and product management, operations, and engineering to understand customer needs and build appropriate solutions.
