About the position

The Principal Program Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in the US Customer Education and Programs team at Medtronic, focusing on the launch and promotion of the Renal Denervation (RDN) Symplicity Blood Pressure Procedure. This position involves managing peer-to-peer education programs, supporting field sales, and developing new educational offerings to enhance market adoption of this innovative therapy aimed at treating hypertension. The role requires strategic thinking, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and a passion for customer education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage execution of the established Symplicity Blood Pressure Procedure Speaker Program series, including in-person peer-to-peer programs and national broadcasts.
  • Support field sales representatives and market development specialists in executing programmatic offerings.
  • Liaise with healthcare professional (HCP) faculty to ensure on-label messaging and coordination of events.
  • Responsible for compliance and documentation for programs.
  • Project manage and gain approvals for associated content and materials required to support customer education and programs.
  • Work with internal partners to develop promotional items.
  • Collaborate with HCP faculty and internal stakeholders to develop topic-specific content and webinars to support current educational needs.
  • Build a strong understanding of existing barriers to adoption of the Symplicity Blood Pressure Procedure and determine necessary customer education and new programs to support launch acceleration.
  • Travel required to support programs, conferences, POA meetings, and rep training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in Program Management, Marketing, Sales, or Customer Education role in a medical device or healthcare industry (5+ years with Advanced Degree)

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters or other Advanced Degree
  • Content Development experience for HCPs
  • US marketing experience in a complex matrix business structure
  • Ability to synthesize clinical data and technical information
  • Previous experience interacting with internal teams, sales force, senior management, and customers
  • Digital Marketing experience
