About the position

Cargomatic is seeking a Principal Project Manager specializing in Integrations and Customer Onboarding to lead the execution of technology-driven solutions in the transportation industry. This role focuses on enhancing customer experience and value through effective project management, particularly in the areas of EDI and API integrations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering and business teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs and drive successful onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery of product to customers and contribute to accelerated customer onboarding & adoption.
  • Develop innovative product solutions grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction with products and services.
  • Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Foster partnerships with engineering, sales, finance, and operations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage marketplace participants' API/EDI integrations along with Integration Engineering lead.
  • Implement the best technical solutions for customer and carrier integration requirements.
  • Test EDI and RESTful API interfaces for customer implementation.
  • Assist in analysis and identification of process improvement and propose solutions for more efficient processing.
  • Provide post-production support for customers & internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve EDI/API transaction errors or other issues.
  • Run sprint pre-planning and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement for customer onboarding.
  • Build documentation of onboarding processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant project management experience with a track record of successful software product deliveries for enterprises and SMBs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Exceptional communication and management skills, including presentation, formal writing, verbal, and email communication.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and influence senior leaders and stakeholders to drive customer success.
  • Ability to understand complex business problems and develop effective solutions based on delivering value for customers and the business.
  • Extensive experience working with EDI standards.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Microservices.
  • Knowledge of the current Logistics/Transportation and Supply Chain EDI transaction sets.
  • Hands-on EDI support experience is a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
