About the position

At Northrop Grumman, we are seeking a Principal Property and Asset Management Analyst to join our team in San Diego, California. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing activities associated with asset business systems, ensuring that company, customer, and U.S. Government property located on-site and at subcontractors are managed in accordance with applicable regulations and policies. The goal is to achieve best value and operational excellence in property management. The Principal Property and Asset Management Analyst will maintain property accountability records, assess the condition of assets, and arrange for the disposal of surplus or obsolete materials or equipment. This position requires conducting both internal and external property assessments, analyzing results for financial and operational purposes, and providing guidance on contracts and regulations related to property life-cycle management. The analyst will also be responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing property management policies, as well as preparing periodic and special purpose reports on matters such as taxes, leasing, insurance, and facility usage. To succeed in this role, candidates must possess a proficient knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR). The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or ten years of experience in lieu of a degree. Prior experience managing U.S. government property on behalf of the U.S. Government or as a Federal Government Contractor is essential. Proficiency in MS Office programs, database management experience, and a final DoD Secret clearance are also required. Responsibilities

  • Oversee, manage and analyze activities associated with asset business systems to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Maintain property accountability records and determine the condition of assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience; may consider 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Prior experience managing U.S. government property on behalf of U.S. Government or Federal Government Contractor.
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook).
  • Database management experience.
  • A final DoD Secret clearance is required to start.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with government property & records audits.
  • Experience with SAP, s3, & PIEE databases.
  • Experience with prior DoD field work.
  • Ability to multi-task in a challenging environment.
  • Possess analytical ability, researching skills, and capacity for planning ahead.
  • DAWIA Level 1 Certification in Property/Contracts Mgmt.
