About the position

The QA Lead position at Yahoo Finance involves providing leadership in quality assurance practices, focusing on automation strategies, and ensuring high-quality software development. Responsibilities

• Provide QA Leadership through driving best practices and Automation Strategizing.
• Develop Software Quality Assurance (SQA) test plans and prepare test cases.
• Translate customer requirements into test strategy and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute test cases to detect errors and defects in the product.
• Drive creation of scripts for automation of repetitive tasks in CI/CD.
• Collaborate with software developers to resolve coding errors and develop unit testing plans.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to identify business needs and monitor progress.
• Mentor Mid and Junior QA Automation Engineers on automation best practices.
• Collaborate with the QA organization on continuous improvement of the automation framework.

Requirements

• 7+ years of combined experience in Web Automation Frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing and knowledge of the software development life cycle and Agile methodology.
• Strong experience with Automation Testing Frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver and Appium.
• Strong technical competency in Javascript.
• Senior SQL Level: able to create SQL queries and have advanced Database Experience.
• Experience testing and building test automation for APIs and Integration testing.
• Strong knowledge of source control tools, like GIT or GITHUB.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. TFS, Jenkins).
• Experience in Postman, Eclipse, Maven, TestNG or similar tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with one or more Test Case Management Tools (Rally, Quality Center/ALM, TestRail, etc.).
• Proficient in using JIRA to log defects and develop test scenarios.
• Proficient in performing cross-browser testing using tools like BrowserStack or SauceLabs.
