About the position

At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling - to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Raytheon's Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, and support to production builds, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products. This position is for a multi-disciplined Principal Radar Receiver / Exciter Integration & Test Engineer. The role involves solving complex technical problems and providing highly innovative and ingenious solutions in Radar and Receiver Exciter design, analysis, integration, and test. You will act as a liaison between many Radar system components and be responsible for Radar Receiver Exciter data analysis and calibration, integration of hardware with firmware and software, and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies. Additionally, you will support system and subsystem level radar integration planning, execution, and reporting, and resolve complex technical issues seen during design, integration, and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems. The position requires analyzing Radar and Receiver data to identify and resolve system performance issues, developing calibration solutions for receiver/exciters to meet top level radar performance specifications, and working across mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering disciplines to troubleshoot hardware and software issues outside of Receiver and Exciter Subsystems. The role may require up to a one (1) year assignment at a different location, such as shipyard locations, and involves extended hours, off-shift hours, and traveling (Domestic/International) with short notice. This role is 100% on-site and will be based either in Andover, MA, Tewksbury, MA, or Woburn, MA, with travel between multiple sites anticipated.
