About the position

The Principal RPA Automation Developer at Medtronic will lead the development of robotic process automations to enhance operational efficiency and optimize business processes within the Diabetes Operating Unit. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and implement automation solutions that improve customer experience and streamline internal operations. The position requires a strong background in RPA technologies, particularly Automation Anywhere, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and modify/configure systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards.
  • Evaluate and design, develop, or modify automations for various internal functional areas.
  • Recommend changes in defined architecture standards, defined development best practices, and system standards.
  • Test automations and document them from a technical perspective in solution design documents (SDD).
  • Provide effort estimates for new automations and enhancements to existing automations.
  • Review colleagues' code and coach them to ensure standards and best practices are correctly followed.
  • Stay updated on the latest technical automation-related innovations.
  • Assess whether system changes affect existing automations and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze issues and suggest/build fixes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in RPA development.
  • Extensive hands-on experience using Automation Anywhere as automation software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous Medtronic experience or experience in the Med Tech industry.
  • Continuous learner with a passion for exploring new technologies and process optimization methodologies.
  • Experience working with databases like MS SQL Server and technologies like SAP, PowerBI.
