About the position

PagerDuty is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principle Sales Strategy and Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Strategy and Operations, Consulting, and/or Business operations with 12+ years of experience in high tech. The Sales Strategy and Operations team is responsible for helping define and execute the strategy to support our best-in-class enterprise sales team. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Strategy and Operations. The candidate should be adept at breaking down complex problems and framing these problems so that they can be operationally executed with measurable results. Being data-driven along with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills will be important drivers of success. As a key member of our team, you will conduct analyses and lead initiatives focused on go-to-market strategy, analytics, and operations that impact the US Public Sector business. You will leverage structured problem-solving techniques to drive operational rigor and improve processes across our sales organization. Analyzing raw data to find actionable insights, detecting risks and opportunities, and suggesting solutions for how to bolster the performance of our sales teams and products will be crucial. You will work cross-functionally across Finance, Sales, GTM, and other key stakeholders to effectively implement strategic initiatives. Maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses and lead initiatives focused on go-to-market strategy, analytics, and operations that impact the US Public Sector business.
  • Leverage structured problem-solving techniques to drive operational rigor and improve processes across our sales organization.
  • Analyze raw data to find actionable insights, detect risks and opportunities, and suggest solutions for how to bolster the performance of our sales teams and products.
  • Work cross-functionally across Finance, Sales, GTM, and other key stakeholders to effectively implement strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of Strategy and operations, business operations or Consulting experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills for clear and concise conveyance of complex ideas and data.
  • Comfortable with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to collaborate with the rest of the cross-functional teams to build solutions.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and self-confidence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across organizational levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters in Business, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong Looker, Tableau, or similar tools for data analysis.
  • Work experience in a fast-growth environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation tools along with building exec-facing presentations, and narratives.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas both verbally & in writing.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of 142,000 - 221,000 USD, with potential for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
