About the position

The Principal Scheduler will play a crucial role in the Master Planning & Scheduling group, working closely with aerospace and defense partners to establish, update, and deliver program schedules that support decision-making and ensure the delivery of quality products. This position requires a strong understanding of planning and scheduling principles, as well as the ability to analyze and report on program performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compliant program schedules with necessary detail and logic for effective program management.
  • Integrate program plans and schedules across various functional groups including finance, engineering, and operations.
  • Prepare regular Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and reports for management and customers.
  • Monitor progress against scheduled activities and identify performance variances.
  • Analyze schedules for critical paths and risks, ensuring compliance with industry requirements.
  • Prepare and submit contract deliverables related to the IMS and Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
  • Ensure all schedules comply with internal policies and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 4 years of planning/scheduling experience.
  • Proficient in Open Plan and MS Project or other planning software.
  • Ability to present data and complex matters to stakeholders effectively.
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective organization and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with AcumenFuse, AcumenRisk, Milestones Pro, Oracle, and/or Cobra.
  • Experience with program schedule forecasting and analysis in a US DoD program environment.
  • Thorough understanding of US DoD schedule policies and EVMS requirements.
