About the position

The Principal Security Solutions Engineer at Dynatrace plays a crucial role in supporting the security sales team by providing pre-sales technical support and expert guidance. This position involves executing product demonstrations, managing proof of concepts (PoCs), and building relationships with customers. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to drive technical solutions and contribute to the overall success of the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support to the security sales team and broader customer-facing teams.
  • Execute product demonstrations that showcase Dynatrace's unique security solutions.
  • Manage and execute proof of concepts (PoCs) both remotely and on-site.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with customers.
  • Complete Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Coach and mentor other team members in technical sales processes.
  • Collaborate with teams including innovation lab, product management, consultants, customer care, and marketing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in a presales role supporting sales teams.
  • Deep experience with CNAPP or CSPM solutions and familiarity with additional security technologies such as container security, SAST, DAST, etc.
  • Fluency in English and either Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Understanding of observability and APM technologies.
  • Proven track record leading to sales success.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to translate technical value into business value.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native technologies and public cloud offerings.
  • 3-5 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, .NET, PHP, or JavaScript, and knowledge of web technologies and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling and familiarity with Windows & Linux environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
