About the position

The Principal Software Architect will play a critical role in developing life-saving software for cancer treatment within a global medical device OEM. This position involves technical leadership, working closely with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to optimize software strategies and enhance user-centered design methodologies. The role offers a high visibility opportunity with a clear path for advancement in a successful product line.

Responsibilities

• Optimize software strategy and enhance user-centered design methodologies.
• Architect, develop, and deploy scalable web applications.
• Write efficient and clean code while documenting to quality and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant degree.
• Experience in a heavily regulated environment, preferably in medical devices or digital healthcare.
• Technical leadership experience as a Principal or high-level Senior Engineer with strong communication skills.
• Strong web application development experience with Angular, Vue.js, or React for front-end development.
• Experience with AWS EKS cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Next.js and server-side rendering.
• Experience with Test Driven Development methodologies and unit test frameworks.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
• Experience working with software as a medical device is preferred.
• Experience with embedded development is preferred.
