About the position

The Principal Software Architect for Conversational AI at CVS Health is responsible for leading the design and implementation of a user-centric Conversational AI platform. This role involves providing technical leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance user experience across various channels. The architect will also evaluate technologies, drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, and respond proactively to industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of the overall user experience for a Conversational AI platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives and projects.
  • Design and architect robust conversational AI solutions for seamless user experience.
  • Evaluate and select suitable technologies and tools for optimizing chat solutions.
  • Research and propose technical strategies and document architectural frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices through automation and performance optimization.
  • Evangelize and accelerate the adoption of conversational solutions.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in software development, enterprise architecture, or a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI development tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in Python or Java.
  • 5+ years of experience with AI framework libraries and AI tooling platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing target architectures.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing conversational AI solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS architectures, and modern technologies such as machine learning and AI.
  • Prior experience with large healthcare, media, entertainment, or technology companies.
  • Knowledge of API interfaces required to support conversational dialog.
  • Experience with scaled agile (SAFe) methodology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building multi-channel conversational bots with Watson Assistant.
  • Knowledge of IBM SaaS services supporting Watson Assistant.
  • Experience with Miro, LucidChart, Visio dialogue flow development.
