About the position

The Principal Software Architect at Honeywell will play a crucial role in the Antenna Center of Excellence, focusing on RF communication technologies for connected aircraft and defense applications. This position involves leading software development projects, creating software blueprints, and providing technical expertise while collaborating with a diverse engineering team. The role emphasizes innovation and problem-solving in a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute software development projects
• Create software blueprints to meet business needs
• Lead a software team
• Design and develop software code and technical requirements
• Manage software applications
• Suggest tools and methods for software process improvement
• Provide technical resolution and consultancy
• Ensure project and product compliance
• Conduct risk management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• Ability to obtain a Security clearance
• 10+ years of experience with C or C++ compiled language
• 10+ years of experience with embedded software or microprocessors
• 5+ years of experience with the entire software development cycle
