About the position

The Principal Software Architect at IsoMetrix USA, Inc. is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to define business goals related to Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS). This role involves communicating architectural designs to the development team, guiding implementation for successful product delivery, and modernizing the company's proprietary software architecture into a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. The architect will also design APIs, coordinate interactions between software services, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts on ESG and EHS to determine business goals and market placement.
• Communicate architectural views and blueprints to the development team and provide implementation guidance.
• Implement architectural designs to modernize the IsoMetrix proprietary workflow engine, form builder, and mobile application builder into a SaaS architecture.
• Design APIs and software libraries and coordinate their interaction between different IsoMetrix software services.
• Conduct research and development into strategic needs for ESG and EHS to maintain market leadership.
• Review technical output of the product team to ensure alignment with architectural and business goals.
• Interview and assess prospective technical hires and make recommendations to developmental executives.
• Ensure compliance of EHS and ESG software solutions with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in software architecture.
• 3 years of experience architecting software solutions for EHS and ESG platforms.
• 3 years of experience with client-server architecture, including web stack.
• 3 years of experience with N-Tier and MVC systems.
• 3 years of experience with EHS and ESG regulations and reporting frameworks.
• 3 years of experience in Agile Software Engineering.
• 3 years of experience in workflow analysis and optimization.
• 3 years of experience in software development methodologies.
