About the position

The Principal Software Developer will be a key member of the Database Security Group, focusing on the Oracle Audit Vault and Database Firewall product. This role involves designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions to ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance for both Oracle and non-Oracle databases. The position emphasizes innovation in areas such as GenAI, Cloud, and ML/Analytics, with a strong focus on improving the scalability, availability, and usability of the Audit Vault Server.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software to improve scalability, availability, and usability of Audit Vault Server.
• Contribute to design and development of AI features leveraging technologies such as GenAI and ML-based anomaly detection.
• Own and provide technical leadership to several key components of the product.
• Focus on diagnosability, self-healing, and monitoring of a highly scalable server.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, QA, and other multi-functional teams throughout all phases of product development.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience is required.
• 8 years of hands-on experience in software development, including design, implementation, debugging, and support of scalable software systems is required.
• Experience in developing Oracle database applications using SQL/PLSQL is desirable.
• Experience in Bash/Python scripting languages is desirable.
• Strong fundamentals of Linux operating system is a plus.
• Experience with either Java, C, or C++ is required.
