About the position
The Principal Software Engineer at Autodesk will play a crucial role in leading the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions. This position requires a blend of advanced technical skills and strategic thinking to enhance the Salesforce platform and improve business processes. The role involves providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and ensuring the integration of Salesforce with other systems while maintaining data integrity and performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers.
- Collaborate with partners to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure best practices for a secure Salesforce platform.
- Design and implement scalable integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate integration technologies and patterns.
- Ensure data integrity and performance in integrated solutions.
- Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and other partners to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and strategy discussions.
- Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and security measures.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Implement, maintain, and oversee automated testing processes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Salesforce development experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce development and administration.
- Experience with integration technologies and patterns.
- Familiarity with Gen AI technologies and their application in business solutions.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in the software industry.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Certified Platform Developer, Certified Administrator).
- Hands-on experience with APIs, Mulesoft, Salesforce to Salesforce integration.
- Previous experience implementing Gen AI solutions or working with AI technologies to enhance business processes.
