About the position

We need your talent, motivation, and vision as a Senior Software Engineer to join our New Hampshire team. We are actively seeking experienced Software Engineers with a minimum of six years of experience and a range of skills. The Software Engineer will apply her/his skills to developing high-quality, real-time embedded software for fielded electronics platforms. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Developing software, tools, APIs and DevSecOps pipelines for classified programs.
  • Analyzing, designing, coding and code modification of complex software designs for simple systems or subsystems of larger systems.
  • Evaluating complex software designs to identify design flaws.
  • Preparing design documentation, in accordance with established processes.
  • Utilizing either a Windows or Linux based software development environment.
  • Integrating and testing in the selected target test environments.
  • Participating in external project interactions with other companies.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer related field with at least 6 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of Python to create API frameworks and tools
  • Working knowledge of DevOps or DevSecOps using container technologies
  • Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation
  • High-level Object-Oriented language proficiency (e.g. C++, Ada, etc.)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills that translate to working software
  • Proficient with source code control tools

Nice-to-haves

  • Secret Clearance (active within the last two years)
  • Experience with Modern C++ is a plus
  • Experience with Ada is a plus
  • Experience with Real-time Embedded Software Development
  • Experience with Agile Development, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience developing on Windows/Unix/Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience using software tools like Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, GitLab
  • Experience with Containers including Docker, Podman or Kubernetes
  • Experience creating build and test automation frameworks
  • Experience creating tools to process large datasets
  • Software automated test development and execution
