About the position

The Principal Software Engineer at Motorola Solutions will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud-based web and mobile applications, particularly in the IoT domain. This position focuses on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that integrate seamlessly with IoT devices, ensuring that public safety and security needs are met effectively. The role involves collaboration with development teams and optimizing cloud infrastructure to support innovative technologies that enhance safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement end-to-end cloud solutions for IoT web and mobile applications.
• Design and optimize cloud infrastructure to support the unique requirements of IoT devices and web & mobile application workloads.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate cloud services and APIs into web & mobile applications.
• Implement cloud-native solutions for web and mobile applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Work on and improve an existing codebase.
• Bring specialized knowledge in IoT applications, including connectivity, security, data processing, and real-time communication for IoT devices.
• Design and implement solutions that enhance the functionality and efficiency of the cloud interfaces for IoT applications.
• Leverage experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to optimize applications for performance, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in cloud-based web and mobile application development, specializing in IoT applications.
• Proficiency in cloud architecture design and optimization.
