About the position

As a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our buy-side platform, which enables advertisers and curators to efficiently access inventory and manage ad campaigns. This position involves making significant technical, operational, and strategic contributions to our real-time platform, focusing on high-scale, high-availability, and low-latency systems. You will lead a globally distributed team, fostering a culture of innovation and performance while overseeing the career development of your direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Make technical, operational, planning, and strategic contributions to the real-time platform.
• Develop systems that operate at high scale, high availability, low latency, and high cardinality.
• Guide teams in identifying dependencies and developing design documents for products and services.
• Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability.
• Lead product development and scaling to meet customer requirements and performance expectations.
• Monitor system performance and act as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI).
• Mentor and develop engineers in best practices for world-class software development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• 4+ years of experience in C development on Unix environments.
