About the position

As a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our real-time platform that supports advertising transactions in a high-volume marketplace. This position involves making significant technical, operational, and strategic contributions while leading a globally distributed team. You will be responsible for the career development of your direct reports and fostering a collaborative culture within the team. Responsibilities

• Guide partnership with appropriate stakeholders to determine requirements within and across teams.
• Lead the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms.
• Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability.
• Drive multiple group project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with stakeholders.
• Act as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitor engineers across product lines for system degradation or downtime.
• Lead product development to meet customer requirements and apply best practices for performance expectations.
• Mentor and develop engineers in the team on all aspects of world-class software development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• 4+ years of experience in C development on Unix environments.
