About the position

SAIC is seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on Principal Software Tester to join our team. This primarily remote position involves testing current and future software applications and modules, requiring occasional on-site presence in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Support testing events and develop/mapping requirements to test cases.
• Understand customer problems and quickly learn new tools and technologies.
• Work independently and as part of a team to deliver customer solutions.
• Attend daily scrum meetings and collaborate with the team in an Azure Dev Ops environment.
• Represent the organization in providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience; or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be eligible for a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
• Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of software applications and systems.
• Strong knowledge and experience in structured software testing and documenting test procedures.
• Experience using applications to track testing, such as Azure DevOps (ADO).
