About the position

The Principal Solution Architect for GenAI at AWS Energy Data Insights will play a pivotal role in transforming energy and utilities businesses by integrating AI and Generative AI into the EDI product suite. This position involves collaborating with engineering and product teams to influence the EDI platform's direction, enabling customers to leverage AI capabilities for innovative solutions. The architect will also engage with customers globally, develop enablement materials, and drive the adoption of AI technologies within the energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical liaison between customers and AWS product teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback for the EDI platform and GenAI services.
• Build solutions and guidance for EDI that leverage AI to enhance the geotechnical capabilities of the overall platform.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate the EDI platform and AWS GenAI solutions into customer architectures.
• Implement and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms under GenAI, building prototypes and exploring new solutions.
• Evangelize AWS GenAI services and the EDI platform, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white papers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.

Requirements

• 10+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, and publications.
• Experience with GenAI Agents and Agentic Workflows.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
• Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent.
• Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent.
• Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
