About the position

The Principal Solutions Architect for AWS Startups in Life Sciences is a senior-level role focused on helping early-stage life sciences startups leverage AWS technology to innovate and grow. This position involves working directly with customers to guide them in adopting the right architecture and AWS services throughout their lifecycle, establishing technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, and developing technical content to assist customers in solving problems and accelerating their time-to-market.

Responsibilities

• Help a diverse range of life sciences startups to adopt the right architecture at each part of their lifecycle.
• Support startups in architecting scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.
• Support adoption of a broad range of AWS services to deliver business value and accelerate growth.
• Support the evolution and roadmap of the AWS platform and services, connecting our engineering teams with our customers for feedback.
• Establish and build technical relationships within the startup ecosystem, including accelerators, incubators, and VCs.
• Develop startup-specific technical content, such as blog posts, sample code, and solutions, to assist customers in solving technical problems and reducing time-to-market.

Requirements

• 10+ years of specific technology domain experience in software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, and data & analytics.
• Experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, and publications.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
• Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent.
• Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent.
• Experience architecting, migrating, transforming, or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
