About the position

The Principal Specialist, Business Process Management, also known as a Material Contract Brief (MCB) Analyst/Paralegal, plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with procurement activities related to U.S. Government and commercial customer contracts. This position involves developing contract flowthrough documentation, drafting internal instructions, and collaborating with various teams to interpret contract requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal studies or paralegal work, with a focus on regulatory compliance and contract analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Review U.S. Government and direct commercial customer contracts and draft Flowdown Document Attachments (FDAs) and other special purchase order attachments.
  • Draft internal instructions for unique customer contract requirements and determine applicable dollar thresholds in accordance with prime contract clauses.
  • Use tools to parse customer contracts and create flowthrough documents, collaborating with the MCB Analyst and Supply Chain Advising Teams.
  • Monitor team inbox and respond to client inquiries regarding contract requirements.
  • Assist in drafting and editing legal and contractual documentation as requested by SC Advisors.
  • Review software license agreements and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) product licenses for compliance.
  • Develop training presentations and present to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or a Paralegal Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of prior relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree in a related field (Masters in Legal Studies preferred) and 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued security clearance (TS/SCI) is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
