About the position

The Principal Specialist, Field Services at Pratt & Whitney is responsible for overseeing aftermarket support for F100, F119, and F135 engine programs. This role involves acting as the main point of contact for supply chain actions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the best value for the company and its customers. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to interface with various internal departments and external suppliers, while also championing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for all Eagle Supply aftermarket support for F100, F119, and F135 engine programs.
  • Identify pricing needs and initiate supply chain actions to support those needs.
  • Track and report milestone achievements related to purchasing and executing requests for quotes.
  • Perform quote analysis and negotiate favorable pricing based on best value criteria.
  • Identify business opportunities on SAM.gov and initiate activities to support potential business.
  • Analyze supplier pricing data and construct complex Excel evaluations.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that drive value for both Pratt & Whitney and the customer.
  • Interface with various internal departments, external suppliers, and business units at all company levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of purchasing experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
  • An Associate's degree with 4+ years or 6+ years of relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years' experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • 2+ years' experience in Procurement or Supply Chain is required.
  • Experience working on or in support of US Government proposals.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
  • 2+ years' experience in Microsoft Office suite is required, with the ability to analyze and create complex reports and metrics from ERP data.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of procurement in support of government contracts is desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated track record of accomplishment in business performance.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and sustain change activities at suppliers.
  • Experience with SAP/POWER BI or related ERP system is preferred.
