Responsibilities

• Formulate hair color products across multiple projects within the company's R&D and product development efforts.
• Develop the color platform to ensure it meets target performance under various consumer usage conditions.
• Create shading strategies that comply with global regulatory standards for hair dyes while aligning with company strategies.
• Optimize bleaching performance while retaining technical damage benefits.
• Enhance rheological properties while adhering to current technology platforms and ingredients.
• Manage multiple projects, design technical approaches, and characterize formulated product properties using quantitative methods.
• Establish project milestones, document progress, and drive projects to completion.
• Collaborate effectively in multifunctional teams including Innovation, Technology, Product Insights, and Regulatory groups.
• Partner with modeling colleagues to innovate shading techniques for improved efficiency in reaching shade targets.

Requirements

• Minimum BS in chemistry, materials science, biology, or a related science.
• At least 5 years of experience in Consumer Goods R&D, particularly in hair, nail, makeup, skincare, or lip products.
• Passion for building technical mastery in complex hair colorant chemistry.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multifunctional teams.
• Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Innovative mindset with enthusiasm for new ideas and technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in formulating hair colors is advantageous but not essential.
