About the position

Northrop Grumman is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, refactoring, testing, and debugging applications software for a Ground Segment, specifically supporting a Ground program. The position requires on-site work and is integral to achieving program milestones and mission objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications software for a Ground Segment.
• Support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve mission objectives.
• Operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment.
• Report information to leads and the customer.
• Handle diverse assignments efficiently and find unique solutions.

Requirements

• Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a completed bachelor's degree or equivalent experience for Level 3 (Principal).
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience with a completed bachelor's degree or equivalent experience for Level 4 (Sr Principal).
• Experience with C++ and Python in a RedHat Linux environment.
• Familiarity with the whole software design lifecycle.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, etc.).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Experience with automated testing.
• Excellent technical writing and team-building skills.
• Experience with Command and Control.
