The selected Principal/Sr. Principal Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for performing assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identifying where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. The role involves establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. The analyst will support the A&A process for system accreditation, which includes a variety of responsibilities such as security certification testing, documentation, and conducting periodic audits. Responsibilities will include establishing strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems. This includes support of process, analysis, coordination, security certification tests, security documentation, as well as investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research inspections, and periodic audits. The analyst will assist in the implementation of the required government policy, make recommendations on process tailoring, and participate in and document process activities. They will perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional security requirements and safeguards. Furthermore, the analyst will support the formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Documenting the results of Certification and Accreditation activities and preparing the system Security Plans while updating the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) is also a key responsibility. Periodically, the analyst will conduct a complete review of each system's audits and monitor corrective actions until all actions are closed. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience is required.
  • Must hold an active DoD TS with eligibility for SCI access level.
  • Must be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph.
  • Experience reviewing technical security assessments of computing environments that identify points of vulnerability or non-compliance.
  • Experience implementing the Risk Management Framework Process (RMF) and ability to support and document certification and accreditation artifacts.
  • Experience supporting the A&A process for system accreditation.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current DoD 8570 IAM level III security certification (CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP, CASP) or other information technology security related certifications.
  • Experience with STIG, Tenable Security Center & Nessus, eMASS, Xacta or SNOW.
  • Background in Technical Writing or Instructional Systems Design would be helpful.
  • Knowledge of RHEL, SPLUNK, SCAP, POA&Ms, NIST, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF package development preferred.
  • Active CI Polygraph.
