About the position

The Principal/Sr Principal DevSecOps Engineer role at Northrop Grumman involves working within the Payload and Ground Systems Division to support the Integrated National Systems Business Unit. This position focuses on automating configuration management processes, maintaining security vulnerabilities, and integrating development pipelines. The role requires a strong background in cloud computing, DevOps, and Linux system administration, along with a commitment to maintaining a stable security posture while supporting rapid capability deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Write/edit scripts (INF as code) for configuration maintenance of Gitlab/Gitlab-ci.
  • Automate configuration maintenance processes and support CM for elements.
  • Maintain security vulnerabilities software, review scans, and automate issue resolution.
  • Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure for rapid capability maturation and deployment.
  • Integrate development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools.
  • Implement provisioning and deployment techniques via packaging or Cloud distribution.
  • Ensure implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and automated testing for CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance with an active Polygraph.
  • Must have a completed STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
  • Level 3 (Principal): 5 years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's, 3 years with a completed Master's, or 1 year with a completed Ph.D.
  • Level 4 (Sr Principal): 8 years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's, 6 years with a completed Master's, or 4 years with a completed Ph.D.
  • Experience in Cloud Computing, Cloud DevOps, and Linux System Administration.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification or other IAT Level 2 certificate.
