About the position

The Principal / Sr. Principal Logistics Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman will play a crucial role in developing next-generation solutions for missile weapon systems. This position involves logistics engineering activities from the concept phase through production and post-production support, requiring collaboration with various teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for logistics design influence, technical data analysis, and ensuring mission readiness through effective maintenance concepts and logistics support analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform logistics engineering activities from concept to post-production support phases.
  • Serve as the Logistics/Sustainability point of contact for assigned programs.
  • Support logistics design influence efforts to meet system performance requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret technical data to develop logistics data.
  • Create/update reports such as task analysis and maintenance plans.
  • Perform/develop/update Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
  • Develop maintenance concepts for mission readiness solutions.
  • Develop/execute plans for Technical Publications/training materials.
  • Plan/execute activities that sustain system operation and maintenance.
  • Conduct logistics analyses using engineering background and analytical skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with a Master's for Principal Engineer; 8 years of experience or 6 years with a Master's for Sr. Principal Engineer.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements and military maintenance support.
  • Experience in logistics supportability analysis and data/trend analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with customers.
  • Active DoD Security Clearance (investigation completed within last 5 years).
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience in military maintenance and sustainment support.
  • Engineering design background with new designs and models.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with logistics tools such as EAGLE, SLICwave, Vmetric, etc.
