About the position

The Principal/Sr Principal Systems Engineer: Integration and Test role at Northrop Grumman involves working within the Payload and Ground Systems division to support the Integrated National Systems Business Unit. This position focuses on systems engineering processes throughout a product's lifecycle, emphasizing integration and testing of systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for automated testing frameworks, software baseline deployment, and troubleshooting, while collaborating with development teams to ensure effective testing and integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Deploy software baselines and manage testing environments.
• Read and analyze error logs to troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate corrections with the development team.
• Understand and execute test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Conduct integration test activities in System Integration Labs (SILs) or offsite locations.

Requirements

• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application.
• Completed STEM degree with relevant experience in systems engineering.
• Principal level: 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's, 3 years with a Master's, or 1 year with a Ph.D.
• Senior Principal level: 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's, 6 years with a Master's, or 4 years with a Ph.D.
• Proficient with Cameo for requirement management.
• Experience with Software Baseline Integration and test planning/documentation.
• Basic understanding of Python and Java.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and basic Docker concepts.

Nice-to-haves

• Polygraph within the last 10 years.
• Proficient in Kubernetes for debugging services in a cluster.
• Experience with Git for source code management.
• Experience in a cross-functional agile team.
• Familiarity with MBSE, Visio, Cameo, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Experience with Satellite Ground SW system and verification.
• Knowledge of Gherkin, Cucumber, Zephyr.
