About the position

The Principal Enterprise Synapse Database and Escalation Engineer at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation is responsible for leading the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) database group, focusing on cross-training and skill enhancement. This role manages the escalation process from TAC to Development and oversees the transition to support for the EIS product during implementations and projects. The engineer collaborates with TAC management to refine processes and enhance support experiences for both customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand the similarities and differences among all Synapse databases.
• Develop and improve cross-training methodologies from a database perspective.
• Identify efficient support methods for the TAC team regarding the Synapse Product line.
• Own the escalation process from the Technical Assistance Center to Development.
• Collaborate with internal FUJI teams to streamline the escalation process.
• Serve as the highest level escalation point for all Synapse Applications.
• Work with TAC management to understand customer and engineer challenges and enhance support processes.
• Participate in customer site visits as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and quality requirements.
• Stay updated on current medical imaging products and technologies through continuous education.
• Travel on short notice or overnight as required to work on customer systems.
• Work outside of normal business hours, including overtime and holidays, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Trade School Certification, or comparable education and work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of industry-related professional experience.
• Advanced DBA level knowledge of all current Synapse Applications.
• Advanced knowledge of clinical data transfer protocols and interfaces (HL7 and DICOM).
• Advanced working knowledge of Synapse workflows and their implementations.
• Advanced knowledge in Synapse application front end.
• Advanced knowledge of medical informatics architecture (VMware and Storage Solutions).
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions based on technology data and product knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
