About the position

The Principal Systems Engineer at Solidus will be responsible for executing various aspects of the systems engineering discipline, including requirements decomposition, system performance analysis, oversight of software development, and system integration and testing. This role involves collaboration with agile development teams, program leadership, and customers to address technical considerations and ensure system requirements are met. The position requires on-site work in State College, PA, Aurora, CO, or Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis to define and document requirements for software releases.
  • Ensure up-to-date requirements traceability matrices are in place.
  • Assist in the creation and management of project schedules based on development and release activities.
  • Contribute to technical planning and capability/feature designs for agile development teams.
  • Work on cloud solutions, integrating both cloud and hardware environments.
  • Utilize knowledge of networking, infrastructure, cyber security, software design, and architectures.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship and an Active Top Secret Clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience.
  • Full life cycle experience in systems engineering and technical leadership in large software systems development.
  • Experience supporting agile development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities.
  • Experience in requirements derivation and capability development.

Nice-to-haves

  • SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) background analyst with end user mission experience.
  • Technical leadership experience of a large multi-disciplined engineering team.
  • Experience with cloud-based software architectures and systems.
  • Familiarity with Architecture Frameworks and modeling resources like Cameo, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody.
  • Experience developing MBSE and/or DoDAF operational views.
  • AWS cloud technology knowledge and implementation.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) knowledge and experience.
