About the position

The Principal Systems Security / DevSecOps Engineer will play a crucial role in the Integrated Strategic Solutions Engineering team, focusing on establishing and maintaining automated development pipelines for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) mission systems solutions. This position involves leading a team to support the design, development, and validation of systems used in military aircraft and ground stations, ensuring the security and efficiency of the DevSecOps pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
  • Mentor team members in developing functional, interface, and performance specifications for hardware and software implementation.
  • Provide technical guidance to multidisciplined teams and lead effective meetings.
  • Estimate, track, manage, and report on technical, cost, schedule, and risk performance for assigned projects.
  • Support the entire development lifecycle, including system design, requirements definition, and verification testing.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with common DevSecOps related tools such as Confluence, Artifactory, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS VMs, VMware vCenter/ESXi, or Hyper-V.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD TOP SECRET level clearance.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw CAMEO, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Kubernetes deployed applications.
  • Familiarity with Platform One/Iron Bank/Big bang and hardened container development.
