About the position

The Principal Systems Security Engineer - Anti-Tamper / Cyber Security role at Raytheon is a critical position focused on developing Systems Security Engineering (SSE) solutions to secure the technology advantage of the US warfighter. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles and the ability to create holistic security solutions that leverage Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing these solutions into Raytheon products, ensuring that they meet the stringent requirements of the Department of Defense (DoD) and other stakeholders. In this position, you will interact with customers to define SSE AT requirements and solutions, assess costs, and evaluate the effectiveness of implementations. You will also support the development of plans and estimates, track project execution, and identify and mitigate risks. A significant part of your role will involve validating secure configurations of various systems and assets using DoD-approved scanning and assessment tools. You will be expected to develop top-level system requirements and flow down these requirements to subsystems, ensuring compliance with DoD technology release and export licensing policies. The ideal candidate will possess a security-conscious approach to resolving complex programs and will be able to effectively communicate and convince leadership of the proposed solutions' merits. This role is situated in a dynamic, agile development environment, requiring a proactive and strategic mindset to guide SSE AT implementations in customer systems. You will also be involved in threat modeling and critical program information assessments, contributing to the overall security posture of the systems being developed.
