About the position

The position involves supporting Compass Call Systems Engineering by defining, developing, and maintaining system test software tools for automated data solutions. The role requires collaboration in a full-time onsite environment, focusing on electronic warfare capabilities and next-generation threat detection. Candidates will engage in software development across multiple languages and systems, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere while also working independently as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other system software engineers.
  • Write systems test software that transforms requirements and test procedures into code.
  • Manage and wrangle data from databases and visualize data results.
  • Interface with test equipment and/or custom devices.
  • Write software scripts in various languages to execute system OS commands and interface with subsystems and devices.
  • Write automated scripts in various languages that control execution and perform data analysis.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship with Top Secret Clearance.
  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree and/or experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and one or more scripting languages.
  • Team-focused and self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Desire to stay current in a stimulating and evolving environment.
  • Experience with requirements-based design and testing.
  • Ability to write system OS level scripts.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and implementation.
  • Understanding of databases, data governance, representation, and visualization.
  • Familiarity with client and server-side programming constructs.
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with source control and configuration management tools.
  • Experience developing using Visual Studio and/or Eclipse.

Nice-to-haves

  • U.S. Citizenship with Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Experience with Ruby, Python, SQL; HTML/JavaScript, VBScript, or equivalent.
  • Experience with DOORS, ClearCase, GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
  • Experience with COSMOS, MATLAB, HTML, JSON, XML, Linux, Windows, Microsoft Power BI.
