About the position

The Operations and Maintenance Senior Engineer (O&M) at Raytheon is responsible for executing various aspects of the Operations and Maintenance discipline to ensure the system remains operational and up to date. This role involves monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, and engaging with end users to resolve problems. The engineer will work closely with customers and engineering leadership to analyze and document issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution of customer-generated queries.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and update production and test systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and log defects, implementing temporary workarounds as necessary.
• Engage with end users and stakeholders to resolve day-to-day issues.
• Analyze and document customer issues and follow up on problem resolution.
• Work with a small team to maintain several instances of a software-based system in a DevSecOps environment.
• Aid in root cause analysis of issues and document impacts and resolutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience in system engineering and technical leadership with software systems.
• Experience supporting agile development activities, including requirements specification and integration test and verification activities.
• Experience interacting with external customers, including programmatic and technical presentation experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) background with end user mission experience.
• Experience with cloud-based software architectures and systems.
• Ability to maintain technical cost and schedule for systems engineering and software integration.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
