About the position

The Principal Tech Analyst/Prg SS role at Avangrid is responsible for overseeing the Digital applications ecosystems, ensuring smooth operation of digital platforms, and leading incident management processes. This position requires a strong background in application development, cybersecurity, and cloud infrastructure, along with excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and manage technical discussions during critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead product and service development while supporting technological infrastructure and critical solutions.
• Create and monitor change management strategies and plans, including sponsorship and communications.
• Ensure successful implementation of digital strategies through effective communication with team leaders and product owners.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, product, digital, customer service, PR, and executive teams.
• Exercise advanced problem-solving skills to address complex challenges in technology and customer experience.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing effective strategies, mentoring team members for continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in managing technological infrastructure and developments, acting as the design authority for critical solutions.
• Communicate clearly and report critical information to C-level executives.
• Identify digital transformation opportunities and leverage emerging technologies for process improvement.
• Stay updated with technology trends and best practices for coding single-page applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of Digital Platforms experience in web app designing, development, testing, and Digital Applications support/operational experience, with at least 3 years in a Technical Lead or Operations lead role.
• Experience in developing applications using open technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java 8, Spring boot framework, Angular 12+, and MFE architecture.
• Experience with Google Analytics, Remote Config, and ELK stack.
• RDBMS knowledge and basic SQL query scripting.
• Experience with container frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes, with Azure Kubernetes experience being a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with Git and other source code management modules.
• Experience in CIAM (OKTA) and APIM products implementation/operations.
• Experience in Mobile App Development (Hybrid/native apps).
