About the position

As a Principal Technical Program Manager (P-TPM) at Amazon, you will lead and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries. This role focuses on simplifying and automating processes to enhance customer privacy while delivering innovative AI-powered solutions that transform the eCommerce experience. You will collaborate with product management and technical leadership to identify opportunities, manage large-scale projects, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and drive technical programs that span multiple engineering teams and organizational boundaries.
• Partner with product management and technical leadership to identify company-wide opportunities to simplify and automate the work done by engineering teams to maintain customer privacy.
• Drive large scale projects spanning teams across Amazon from inception to conclusion, formulate the product vision, define user stories, research appropriate technical solutions.
• Clearly communicate vision, plans and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders.
• Work closely with the software development team on delivering high-quality solutions, and provide guidance regarding architecture, design, and priorities.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs balancing the business needs versus constraints.
• Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience.
