About the position

The Principal Technical Product Manager at Ring is responsible for owning and driving multiple software services and platforms as products. This role involves creating and executing product strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a strong focus on enhancing customer experience. The position requires collaboration across various teams, including engineering, design, security, and marketing, to develop and launch innovative platforms that serve millions of devices.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire product life cycle from inception to launch
• Drive the development of the strategy, roadmap, and business plan for product areas
• Advocate for customer needs through ongoing research and market requirement prioritization
• Inspire the team with the product vision and collaborate cross-functionally to realize it
• Write requirements documents, define use cases and customer experience, and own business metrics and KPIs
• Drive product launches in collaboration with public relations, marketing, and executives
• Serve as the product expert for marketing efforts, including press briefings and industry talks

Requirements

• 8+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy
• Experience in technical product management

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
• Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
• Direct experience with building and scaling cloud-based external and internal facing services
