About the position

The Principal Technical Product Manager at UnitedHealth Group is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the organization's cloud security product strategy. This role involves managing multiple value streams, ensuring alignment between tactical execution and customer needs, and driving the adoption of cloud security solutions. The position requires a strong focus on product vision, strategy, and lifecycle management, while also fostering collaboration across various stakeholders to enhance technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product vision and strategy roadmap for security transformation
  • Lead the product across its entire lifecycle using industry best practices
  • Serve as security product champion to guide leadership-level alignment across the enterprise
  • Apply security domain expertise to represent, manage, and engage with business stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development, delivery, and adoption of technology solutions
  • Identify and frame new technology products within the cloud security domain
  • Diffuse conflict by driving consensus based on the greater good of the product
  • Guide the team through Program Increment (PI) planning events, including capacity planning and prioritization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of technology-powered product solution delivery experience
  • 5+ years in a role that made decisions across an enterprise
  • Demonstrated experience navigating and delivering solutions in Fortune 50-sized organizations
  • Proven experience influencing and driving prioritization with security and technology stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure industry standard architecture and design patterns are followed
  • Ability to influence 'Definition of Done' and ensure it is clearly understood by stakeholders
  • Negotiates win-win solutions across teams and lines of business
  • Effectively communicates and builds relationships across multiple product teams and leadership.

  • Acumen with product management tools like Aha, Rally, GitHub
  • Basic knowledge of application security capabilities
  • Basic knowledge of how APIs function and how to secure them
  • Conceptual understanding of AI and large language models
  • Basic knowledge of 'shift left' CI/CD automation techniques
  • Conceptual understanding of public cloud virtual machines and container solutions
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes and/or Docker Containers
  • Basic understanding of securing Infrastructure as Code.
