The Principal Technical Product Manager (TPM) within the Defense & Systems (D&S) organization, specifically in the Systems (Avionics & Electric Power) Supply Chain Digital Technology sector, plays a pivotal role in shaping the enterprise digital product strategy, execution, and sustainment. This position is crucial for developing capabilities that assist Avionics & Electric Power Supply Chain customers in achieving their business Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets. The Principal TPM collaborates closely with the Digital Supply Chain team to drive business outcomes and identify synergies that can be executed effectively. Additionally, this role involves managing the Systems Supply Chain application portfolio to ensure operational stability, excellence, security, compliance, and overall simplification of the portfolio. In this role, the Principal TPM leverages deep process and domain expertise while partnering with Product Owners (PO) and technical development teams. The individual influences key stakeholders in design and planning decisions, driving the development of products aimed at a highly technical audience. By combining customer vision with technical feasibility, the Principal TPM converts business needs into functional specifications and user stories. This includes working with customers and stakeholders to prioritize needs, creating a strategic roadmap for the product, and coordinating the work of several parallel teams to deliver on higher-level outcomes. The Principal TPM is responsible for transparent delivery and maximizing returns throughout the product release duration. The role requires specialized knowledge within the function and involves influencing the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including resource control and policy formulation. The Principal TPM interprets internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices to enhance products, processes, or services while staying informed of industry trends that may impact their work. The position also entails leading functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and complexity, communicating complex concepts, and guiding others to consider different perspectives. Furthermore, the Principal TPM defines future enterprise product strategies and business cases in partnership with the business and Digital Supply Chain, conducts requirements gathering, translates business needs into actionable technical requirements, and oversees project execution.
