About the position

As a Principal Technical Program Manager - AI Network Acceleration at Microsoft, you will be instrumental in optimizing the deployment of AI network infrastructure within Azure data centers. This role focuses on reducing deployment cycle times through innovative process management and collaboration across various teams. You will lead complex projects, ensuring seamless integration of network components while maintaining high security standards. Your work will directly contribute to the advancement of AI technologies that empower businesses and enhance user interactions with their environments.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and deployment teams to identify and address network dependencies.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce AI network deployment cycle times using automation and creative solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of network configurations with data center deployment timelines and capacity delivery goals.
  • Guide teams in identifying opportunities and gaps in process implementation and solicit customer feedback.
  • Advocate for data-driven decision-making and ensure alignment between customers, market, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in developing problem statements and hypotheses for features and process improvements.
  • Facilitate collaboration between teams to bring about solutions and drive broad initiatives across the organization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in orchestrating and integrating efforts for the development and implementation of features on large cross-functional projects.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, deriving insights to improve development and implementation of features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 6+ years of experience as a network engineer or technical program manager for network deployments, preferably at hyperscale cloud providers.
  • Proven track record with delivering network, networking product and/or production deployments; and scaling usage/consumption of product and services.
  • 1+ year(s) SQL & PowerBI experience.
