About the position

The Principal Technical Program Manager for Alexa AI Logistics is responsible for leading large-scale technical programs that optimize the use of AWS infrastructure for AI/ML systems. This role involves driving cloud infrastructure scaling across Alexa, ensuring efficient operations, and improving user experiences through innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong program management background and the ability to influence cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead a program of programs, making tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market.
• Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
• Ensure teams operate efficiently and track goals, status, and business metrics across teams.
• Identify key risks and provide guidance on communication to leadership.
• Anticipate bottlenecks and manage escalations, balancing business needs with technical constraints.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.

Nice-to-haves

• 8+ years of hands-on experience managing complex technology projects
• Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure, ML/AI Modeling Techniques, and Time-series/causal inference forecasting.
