About the position

The Principal Technical Program Manager for Bing Place will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects aimed at enhancing user experiences through mapping and local data services. This role involves collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver scalable programs, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong service background and a passion for empowering users through innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Software Engineering and Product Management to design complex technical solutions across feature areas.
• Provide program management, technical, and organizational leadership.
• Lead strategic planning for a complex program portfolio, influencing resource decisions and planning cadence.
• Build and deliver roadmaps for multiple feature groups across divisions, tracking project schedules and driving development of staging and implementation plans.
• Define success criteria and create relationships for implementing multiple feature areas for highly complex cross-functional projects.
• Drive continuous improvement by validating use cases and providing expertise for collecting performance metrics and understanding user engagement.
• Be a change advocate responsible for initiating and leading multiple organizations through pivots needed to address shifts in business and user needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
