As part of the Technical Strategy & Oversight (TSO) Team, a Technical Program Manager (TPM) plays a critical role in aligning priorities from various service teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving end-to-end execution of complex projects. This TPM will design, coordinate, and execute technical solutions that have a significant impact on our customer experience and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various cloud technologies and technical trade-offs, and will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, with a well-rounded technical background and a history of leading large-scale projects from inception to completion. The role of the TPM is distinct from that of a project manager and a program manager. A TPM is equipped to drive issues beyond what a traditional program manager can do due to their deeper technical skills and expertise. This role requires the TPM to manage large-scale and complex technology projects focused on improving the Collaboration Services used across the entire Oracle employee population. The TPM will be responsible for managing the development and implementation process of specific company products, involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. This includes planning and directing schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the completion of projects on schedule and within budget constraints. The TPM will also be responsible for customer and stakeholder communication and engagement, documenting customer requirements, articulating the current status and progress, and converting customer requirements into engineering requirements. The role demands a natural problem-solver and strategic thinker who takes ownership, efficiently communicating findings and progress to cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and the broader organization. The TPM will represent the product/team up to the VP level independently and will be the most knowledgeable person in the team about the execution, trade-offs, and the rationale behind them. Flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations are essential, as is the ability to imbibe Oracle's corporate values in action and spirit.
