About the position

The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Storage Solutions Deployment at Amazon Robotics is responsible for managing the complexity and diversity of Deployment Services for internal customers. This role acts as the Single Threaded Leader (STL) for a next-generation Automated Storage Solution, ensuring the successful delivery of the complete Customer Delivery Solution and exceeding customer expectations through effective coordination and management of service deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all Storage Solution Deployment related matters with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Deployment teams on service deliverables, ensuring clear definitions of the Customer Delivery Solution and measures of success.
  • Establish a mechanism to manage total Customer Delivery Solution status by deployment service.
  • Manage escalations or misalignments when risks to service delivery arise.
  • Make tradeoff decisions with customers and stakeholders when conflicting priorities occur.
  • Determine whether decisions are one-way or two-way doors and manage discussions with customer and partner teams accordingly.
  • Ensure role clarity within service delivery teams and escalate misalignments to functional leadership.
  • Develop and publish a clear RACI to drive ownership and accountability with customer teams.
  • Lead Lessons Learned, Root Cause Analysis, or Retrospectives related to Customer Solution Delivery.
  • Coordinate across internal teams to ensure alignment and enablement of deployment services.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • 2+ years of end-to-end services delivery experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with service delivery and managing tradeoffs with customers.
  • Experience owning and driving service delivery strategy and definition.
  • Experience managing service delivery expectations across cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
  • 5+ years working in a service delivery capacity.
  • Strong track record for delivering results through influencing others.
  • Ability to work effectively across geographically dispersed teams.
