About the position

The Principal Technical Program Manager will lead discussions and conduct impact analysis to guide decisions on project implementations, focusing on build versus buy strategies. This role involves identifying areas for new processes and automation, managing large-scale programs with multiple dependencies, and ensuring stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle. The position requires strong analytical problem-solving skills to address complex issues and drive program success through effective communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions and conduct impact analysis to guide decisions on build versus buy.
  • Identify areas for the implementation of new processes and automation techniques.
  • Research new processes and automation techniques across domains and industries.
  • Define goals, stage gates, critical delivery paths, and key deliverables for large-scale programs.
  • Secure commitments for program scopes, delivery dates, and resources.
  • Resolve ambiguous situations with conflicting business and product strategies.
  • Engage with program stakeholders to align and share regular updates.
  • Build relationships with program stakeholders and align on roles and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders in ambiguous scenarios to ensure alignment.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts for complex and ambiguous problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field plus 6 years of experience in product/program management; OR 8 years of experience in product/program management.
  • Experience with creating program plans, requirements gathering, and defining roadmaps.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional programs and project change processes.
  • Experience leading compliance and legal initiatives like CCPA, EEO, and ESG Reporting.
  • Experience architecting data pipelines in Google Cloud Platform using Spark, Hive, Scala, and BigQuery.
  • Experience designing and implementing data governance using Collibra.
  • Experience driving technology modernization initiatives using Kafka and cloud platforms.
  • Experience managing portfolio level activities and leading Agile adoption across programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI for analytics and reporting.
  • Familiarity with operational excellence dashboards for incident management.
