About the position

The Principal Technical Project Manager at Honda is responsible for leading Technical Research and Advancement within Prototype Quality to successfully execute New Model projects. This role involves providing technical expertise to ensure product quality and timely unit assignments, coordinating with various associates across Honda to advance technology and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Research and Advancement within Prototype Quality for New Model projects.
• Act as the Prototype Quality Regional category Technical Expert for Logistics, Warehousing, and Metrology areas.
• Lead Technical Collaboration throughout Global Honda (HDMA, AHM, GO-ADC).
• Oversee Electrification Planning, including equipment, facility, safety, and skills advancement.
• Read and interpret 2-D data and Catia across several groups.
• Create long-term Technical Vision and lead Technical Themes to achieve objectives.
• Develop clear and concise documents to explain activities and secure approval.
• Support category workload, resource planning, and efficiency improvement themes.
• Create long-term investment plans for equipment and facility requirements.
• Teach and mentor associates to promote growth and skills development.
• Lead Improvement Themes (BI/R-Themes) to solve problems and develop technology.
• Identify major objectives, manage priorities, and provide weekly status updates.
• Promote advanced problem-solving techniques and team collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in HDMA ADC New Model.
• Team leadership experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Project management leadership experience.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing expertise.
• Super User of GSAP related modules and systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
